Let's be Real

I read this post by Jamie @ Walkin' in high cotton. She was wrote on her blog "is being postitive just really being fake?" This has got me thinking. There are some negative things that happen in my life that I choose not share on the ol blog. Why? What I'm a afraid of. Being judged. When I know for sure that everyone else has their issues and problems as much as I do. That's right. We all do.

I'm going to be real with you.

I'm 26 years old.
I'm a mother to a 4 1/2 year old and 9 month old.
I'm lazy just like any other person.
I'm a sleeper, and the hubs has to get up every night, to check on Mack or tuck her in.
I work 50-60 hour weeks at a desk in a office.
I'm stubborn and hate being wrong. Like "hate it"!
in that case, I'm alway's right
I'm a coffee and Diet Coke Addict
My family is near from perfect.
I have a pile of project's that I want to get done and I haven't
I leave dishes in the sink dirty
I struggle with anxiety
I'm a procrastinator
I worry about our debt and financial decisions.
I have to have the newest and latest Tech gadgets
I'm hard to love I'm sure
I'm independent
I volunteer my time in the community a lot
I over commit to things
I hardly ever cry
I can listen to songs over and over and not get bored of them
I'm no where near being perfect
I buy things for Mack before I buy anything for myself
I'm addicted to Scrap Booking

Now you know some truth behind the blogger that writes here.

Fav iPhone Apps, for Project Life

I can't believe for the first time ever, in the 3 years that I've been doing Project Life that I'm actually caught up and have manged to complete my week spreads on time.

Feels Good..

Anyway, I have some top Apps that I must have for Project Life on my phone. Here is my Project Life Folder.

First up Momento: Love this app, I take lot's of photos with Instagram, I tweet and Facebook all kinds of things about our lives and days that I just can't keep track. I've tried a PL journal, BIG Fail, never remembered to write in it. Love this app, because it does it all for you. Check it out.

Instacollage: This app is great for collaging your Instagram photos.

Overgram: Easy to use app to add text to your Instagram photos.

TimerCamera: This app is the best for you iPhone, it allows you to get into the photos. It's a timer for your phone love it.

Dblcam: This is newer to me, and I've played with it a couple of times. It takes a photo in front of you and automatically turns around and takes a photo of behind you. So, it really helps to capture what's going on in front of you and photo of the person that's recording and documenting the photo. It's cool check it out.

There are tons of apps out there. But, these are the ones that I actually use on a weekly basis. They are all important to my PL process.

What are your favorite apps you use for Project Life? Please Share!

Project Life Tuesday

Hi Everyone. My favorite day of the week. Project Life Tuesday...

This week I haven't had much time to put together my spread so its on the simpler side, but hey at least it is done right!!!

Here they are. I kept getting a glare in my photos... garr! Guess that's what I get for trying to take photos at night.

I can't wait to browse around a look at everyone's spreads.

The weekend Lens

This weekend I didn't take too many photos, It was a busy weekend of lots of running around and driving. As much as I like taking photos while driving and such, it's really not a good idea. So, not many photos.

It's cool.

I looked at wedding dresses on Saturday. We started at Davids Bridal. Here are my 3 main bitches of that place...

1. Very pushy and rude and they want to make a sale that day. I get it, they need money. But, dude, don't tell me I can only try on 3 dresses and I need to decide looking on the rack if I think it will be a score of a 10, if not it won't be one of the 3 I try on.. umm ok. Weird.
2. I had on so many accessories with the first dress I couldn't even focus on that actual dress. So I tore everything off.
3. I didn't like anything, and I felt as if I was being pushed off after only 3 dresses being tried on and I felt like it was a big waste of time.

So, whatever... I went to Alfred Angelo's, much better experience. I tried on around 10 dresses. I liked a few, but nothing that jumped out to me. So the hunt is still on.

Sunday: I went back to David's Bridal for a bridesmaid dress with two of my friends. I already had scoped it online, we just needed to try it on. It looked awesome, done, sold and the end on that one.

It was an exhausting weekend, but fun.

Snow, Flakes, Whiteout

Finally in the Tahoe area we got some more snow since the beginning of January. It's been a long spell with no snow.

Mackenna loves the snow, and also loves to run through it before we get in the car to head to preschool. & ends up all wet. But, this storm I asked her to help clean off the car instead. Luckily it worked.

Kindergarten Round-up

I have no idea how this day came about. Well, I kinda do, Dude you kid grew up. I've been excited for this day for a long time and now that it's here, oh crap! We have choices here for schools. Which is pretty cool for a small mountain town of 13,500 people.

We have a couple of charter schools, full immersion program (only spanish for 5 years) and just regular old public school, but we have 2 of them. Decisions, Decisions... and its stressing me out. :)

But, tomorrow night is the first meeting for the public school that is directly down the street from us and then in couple weeks we go to the meeting for the Charter School (my 1st choice).

Who would have thought making a decision on where your kid goes to Kindergarten could be so stressful. But, then again it's a big decision, because it lays the groundwork of your kids start in the world of education.A picture of cuteness of this soon to be Kindergartner.

Project Life Weeks 8&9

Here are my spreads for Weeks 8 & 9

Have a good rest of the weekend..!

ChildHood Mini Kit/ Project Life

I got the childhood mini kit about a week ago and finally tackled the pile of stuff I've been saving for Mack for the last three years. Preschool has a lot of artwork, so you have to pick in choose which ones you want to keep, otherwise you will end up with way too much.

It all started with this little box...

I went through the mini kit and decided on what I wanted to accomplish. I already do a yearly book of our whole family and couldn't decide on what I wanted to do with the kids....
Then the plan..

1. Each year of school I will do prompt cards from the kit, handwriting, favorite things, favorite hobbies, anything and everything that pertains to that year.
2. I will add awards, artwork, special projects, and special events. Their birthday, holidays, sports.. etc.
3. School pictures.
4. I want to keep it short and sweet and keep the school P-12 in around 3 binders. I think each kid can handle 3, rather than 18.

Here is my process. There are some things missing, but I wanted to give you the jist of what I got going..

The Journaling Cards, and prompt cards. So fun and your child can fill them out themselves.

Title cards and larger 4X6 cards for bigger stories or your child can draw on them. Whatever, you want. I
want to make this Mackenna's book so I want her to do most of it herself.

Title Page of the album. It's not complete and I can't decide what I want to include as of yet.

Mack's First year of preschool, first preschool photo. (left side)

Right side (Class photo, school picture)

Larger school photo on the back.

Her birthday cards from her 3rd birthday.. I want to include their birthday's with there childhood books

2nd year of Preschool

2nd year photo.

4th birthday cards

Current year. Since we are currently in this year of preschool, I put most of the prompt cards in this year,
since we can start from now. Mackenna will be filling out most of these herself.

This years class photo

Prompt cards, and mack's current handwriting.

I want to include sports, so this year also was Mack's first year of soccer.

The stack of artwork I need to add in.

So, there it is. The childhood album in the making. I'm so glad to finally be getting it together in one place.
What are your ideas for your kids childhood albums....?
